How signing works

1

Select a document from the vault

In the file list, click "Send for signing." Claudyx loads the file and opens the signing configuration wizard.

2

Set signatories and order

Add signatory emails — internal (from company directory) or external. Choose parallel or sequential signing. For sequential, set the order.

3

Configure signature type and create a draft

Select signature type (simple or qualified QES), add instructions for signatories, and save as a draft. Review and edit the draft before sending.

4

Signatories sign in browser

Each signatory receives an email with a link. Click — verify identity (SMS code or BankID for QES) — sign. No installation, no registration. Claudyx tracks status in real time.

5

Signed document saved to vault

After the final signature, Claudyx downloads the signed PDF with certificate, saves it to the vault, and notifies you. All signatories receive a copy by email.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Signi and DocuSign? +

Signi is a Czech platform with native Czech language support and qualified electronic signatures (QES) under eIDAS — recognized across the EU as equivalent to a handwritten signature. DocuSign is an American platform with global reach. Claudyx supports both — choose based on your customers and contract jurisdiction.

What are drafts and why do they matter? +

Before sending for signing, you can prepare a document as a draft — select signatories, set signing order, add instructions, and review the document. Only after final approval is it sent. This prevents sending incomplete or incorrect documents.

Does the signatory need a Signi or DocuSign account? +

No. The signatory receives an email with a link to the signing page. They sign in the browser — Signi or DocuSign guides them through identity verification (SMS, email, or BankID for QES). No registration required.

What is the legal validity of an electronic signature? +

Under eIDAS, qualified electronic signatures (QES) have the same legal weight as handwritten signatures across the EU. A simple electronic signature is valid for contracts that don't require notarized signatures. For most business contracts, NDAs, employment agreements, and similar documents, an electronic signature is fully sufficient.

Can I set a signing order? +

Yes. In the signing configuration you specify whether signatories sign simultaneously (all at once) or sequentially (one after another). With sequential signing, Claudyx automatically sends the next signatory the invitation after the previous one has signed.

Where does the signed document go? +

The signed PDF (with the signature certificate) is automatically saved back to the Claudyx vault — into the folder the document was sent from, or a pre-configured folder. All signatories receive a copy by email.

Can templates trigger signing automatically? +

Yes — in BUSINESS plan and above. After a filled template is approved, the signing process starts automatically. Signatories, order, and roles are defined in the template settings. The entire process from template fill to signature requires no manual intervention.
