How the vault works
Create your folder structure
Design a folder hierarchy that matches your company — e.g. Contracts → Clients → 2026, or HR → Onboarding. Depth and number of folders are unlimited. Folders can be renamed, moved, or merged at any time.
Set permissions per folder
For each folder, assign permissions to roles (Uploader, Processor, Reader…) or individual users. Each permission (preview, download, upload, edit, delete, manage) can be toggled independently. Permissions can optionally apply to subfolders.
Upload and organize documents
Upload files via drag & drop, bulk upload, or API. Claudyx automatically tracks versions — every new version is accessible in the history. Files are full-text searchable.
Share securely — even externally
Generate a sharing link with password, expiration, or download limit. The recipient needs no account. All downloads are captured in the audit log with IP address and timestamp.
All vault features
Granular permissions (7 levels)
Preview, download, upload, edit, delete, manage, Drop Box — each independent per role or user.
Drop Box (Blind Upload)
Customers upload files but cannot see others' submissions. Ideal for collecting contracts, applications, or documents from external parties.
Link with password, expiration, and download limit — share a file or folder without recipients needing an account.
File versioning
Every version is retained. History with date, author, and note. Restore any previous version with one click.
Full-text search
Search by name, metadata and content of PDFs and DOCX files. Filter by date, author, file type.
Audit log
Every action recorded: upload, download, delete, sharing, login, permission change. Export to CSV.
Labels and metadata
Add custom labels, categories or key-value metadata for fast filtering and organization.
Permission inheritance
Subfolders inherit parent permissions or have their own — toggle at folder level.
Custom storage
Data stored in your AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or SharePoint — Claudyx just manages access.
AES-256 encryption
Files encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Mandatory MFA per company.
Permission presets
Quickly assign predefined presets or create your own combination from 6 permissions.

Claudyx vs. generic cloud storage
Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox are great for file sharing but lack granular per-folder permissions, audit logs, and ISDS integration.

Frequently asked questions
How many permission levels can be set on a folder? +
Claudyx offers 7 granular permissions: Preview (open only), Download, Upload, Edit (rename, move), Delete, Manage (assign rights to others), and special "Blind Upload" (Drop Box — the user sees only their own files). Each can be toggled independently per role or individual user.
What is a Drop Box and how does it work? +
Drop Box is a special "Blind Upload" permission — a user (customer, supplier, applicant) can upload files to a folder but cannot see files from other uploaders. Ideal for collecting applications, submissions, or contracts where recipients should not see each other's data.
Do subfolders inherit permissions from the parent folder? +
It depends on your settings. Each folder has a "Inherit permissions from parent" toggle — when enabled, the folder inherits the parent's permissions. Disable it to set a custom permission set. Permissions for specific users or roles can also be flagged to "Apply to subfolders."
Can I share files with anyone who has no Claudyx account? +
Yes. Claudyx lets you generate a sharing link for a specific file or folder. The link can be public or password-protected, with an optional expiration date and download limit. The recipient needs no account.
How does file versioning work? +
Every upload of a new version of the same file creates a new record — old versions remain accessible. You can see the full version history with date, author, and note. You can restore any previous version with a single click.
How reliable is the audit log? +
Every action (upload, download, delete, permission change, login, sharing, signing) is recorded in an immutable audit log with server timestamp and IP address. The log can be filtered, searched, and exported to CSV for compliance or legal proceedings.
Can I organize folders hierarchically? +
Yes — a tree structure of folders with no limit on depth or count. Folders and files can be renamed, moved between folders, and tagged with labels. Search is full-text across the entire structure.
